Four Turkish companies in top 100 global defence firms
The number of Turkish firms listed in top 100 list of global defence companies selected by Defense News, one of the world’s best-known defence publications, has increased to four this year.
ASELSAN, the largest Turkish defence firm, was listed in 55th position, two places up from last year, while Turkish Aerospace Industries and ROKETSAN achieved 64th and 96th place, respectively.
They were joined by the new Turkish addition to the list, Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc., which reached 97th place in the list.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has discussed his ambition to develop Turkey’s domestic defence industry and promote indigenous production.
Domestic projects include Turkey’s first indigenous fighter jet, the TF-X and unmanned aerial vehicles.
