4.1-magnitude earthquake hits southern Turkey

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey’s southern province of Osmaniye on Sunday, Cumhuriyet newspaper reported.

The epicentre of the quake, which struck at 1:35 p.m. local time, was the town of Sumbas, it said citing the Turkish gendarmerie and Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

The quake hit at a depth of 18,97 kilometres, AFAD said. 

No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
